Beef with onions Chinese

On the occasion of the Onion Market in Bern Zorra has declared 26 November to onion market and around the world asked food bloggers about something to cook with onions or baking and blogging about it today.

In Germany, there are incidentally a onion market with a long tradition: It is held every year on the second weekend of October in Weimar and is reportedly the only market that has been preserved as a typical folk festival with local character since the Middle Ages until today.

For me both Bern and Weimar are among the cities that are well worth a visit, whether just onion market or not.

One of my favorite dishes with onions is a Chinese court in which onions are really the only vegetable and play a supporting role. These beef and onions are chopped and fried in a wok.

The court called on Chinese 洋葱 牛肉 and in transliteration Pinyin "yáng Cong niurou" - which means simply "beef and onions". Both ingredients fit perfectly together, the onions are by way of preparation somewhat mild, my tastes very good.

Preparation

The beef thinly cut (works best if it is slightly frozen). The ingredients for the marinade mix, pour over the meat, mix and leave to marinate at least half an hour.

Meanwhile cut the onions into thin rings, peel the ginger and chop finely. Oil in the wok, the onion rings and fry the ginger with soy sauce approximately one and a half minutes while stirring. Remove from wok.

Again give oil to the wok and heat well, the meat stir fry until it is just about through. The onion-ginger mixture and cook again briefly fry together with stirring.

Conclusion about giving the sesame oil and serve immediately with rice and a day to a couple of other Chinese dishes.
